Back To School Lunch Ideas

school lunch ideas header

It’s back to school time – exhausted parents around the UK rejoice! Whilst it will probably be a relief to get the kids back into the school routine, this also means that the chore of preparing packed lunches every evening is back (unless of course you pay for school dinners, in which case look away now). To help you out, we’ve been researching how to put together back to school lunch ideas that children will both enjoy eating and get health benefits from.

A healthy packed lunch should include all of the following elements:

  • Fresh fruit
  • Vegetables (preferably crunchy!)
  • Meat/Fish (or another protein based food such as eggs)
  • Dairy (cheese, milk, yoghurt)
  • Carbohydrate (bread, pasta, crackers)
  • Water

We’ve scoured the web and found a selection of easy, back to school packed lunch ideas that your kids will love! Why not give them a go this year?
