A refreshing, cold fruit juice is exactly what you need to satisfy your taste buds on a hot and sunny summer’s day! But how much do you know about the benefits and downsides of fruit juice? We’ve compiled a short list of what we think you need to know…

A single serving of 100% fruit juice counts as 1 of your 5-a-day

According to the NHS, a 150ml of 100% fruit juice can be included as part of your target of 5 fruit and vegetables a day. It’s a little known fact that a single serving of juice is set at 150ml, whilst most juice comes packaged in bottles that hold around 250ml – 360ml of juice. Drinking a whole bottle of juice may give you up to 2 portions of your 5-a-day, but it also contains a lot of naturally occurring sugars, which can be detrimental to your body. It’s a balancing act! Source.

The darker the fruit juice, the more anti-oxidants it contains

Dark fruit juices such as cherry juice, grapefruit juice and grape juice all contain high levels of anti-oxidants compared to paler juices such as apple juice and lychee juice. However it’s not all bad – the paler juices contain a multitude of phytochemicals that can boost your immune system, improve skin health and more. Source.

‘Juice drinks’ are different to ‘fruit juices’

There are no added sugars in 100% fruit juice (just the naturally occurring sugars found in fruit), whereas beverages that are marketed as juice drinks are often made from concentrate and then diluted with water and lots of added sugar. Source.

Green juice is loaded with chlorophyll

Green juices made from fruit and veg such as cucumber, avocado and spinach contains a lot of chlorophyll (the pigment that makes plants green). As well as giving your juices a vibrant colour, chlorophyll helps the body to circulate oxygen better and detoxify! Source.

Coconut juice (coconut water) is brilliant for rehydrating after exercise

Coconut juice (also known as coconut water) is full of electrolytes, which are needed to quickly rehydrate your body after you’ve been exercising, as well as replenishing your blood sugar levels back to normal levels. Best of all, it tastes fantastic too and has no added sugar! Source.

Our wide range of juice bottles offers you a choice of glass and plastic varieties, as well as coming in many shapes and sizes, suitable for single servings and family-size packs. Check out our best offers below.

Glass Juice Bottles

Glass offers an alternative to the more common plastic juice bottles, giving your brand an extra touch of luxury and perceived value. The material is also seen as being quite old school and rustic, which is the perfect look for simple, freshly squeezed fruit juice! All of the bottles below are the ideal size for packaging your single servings of juice as a standalone product, or as part of a meal deal or pack size. All 3 bottles have an individual, distinctive shape, with the option to add a stylish twist off lid to complete the look.

Our 200ml Frescor Bottle is the smallest juice bottle we stock and is an absolute bargain at just 30p per unit (without lid)) – but if you buy in bulk you can get them for as little as 20p each! A slightly larger bottle is our 250ml (Q) Juice Bottle, which has a more curvy shape that moulds itself into your grip when you pick it up. It can be yours from 49p per unit! Last but not least, our 290ml Budget Juice Bottle is here for those businesses that want to save money on their packaging but still get high quality items. The bottle has a handy textured band around the centre of the bottle, but has plenty of space beneath to ad your branded labels and stickers. Yours for as little as 13p each!

Plastic Juice Bottles

Plastic still offers your brand a cost-effective packaging solution that makes your items easy to transport without fear of smashing. Just make sure to let your customers know how to recycle them properly after use! We think that plastic juice bottles are ideal for packaging your larger quantities of juice that are marketed towards families.

Our 250ml Square Juice Bottle features a wide surface area for you to place your labels, and it can be yours starting from just 35p per unit. For a medium sized bottle, we’ve got the 500ml Juice Bottle, which is ideal for home use. Prices start at just 29p per unit! Finally, our 1 Litre Curvy Juice Bottle would look right at home on the shelves of a supermarket or local, independent shop.
