Who doesn’t love strawberries? Now is the time to go strawberry picking or find the best strawberries in the shops, as we are entering peak season for UK strawberries! The UK strawberry season currently runs from May through to October, giving you 5 long months to make the most of this wonderful fruit. 

What Can You Use Fresh Strawberries For Over Strawberry Season?

As well as being delicious to eat fresh from the field, strawberries can be used in part of many other tasty ways! If you want to enjoy this fruit, but can’t think of anything to make with them other than strawberries and cream, then we’ve got some great recipes that you can try at home.

Strawberry and Almond Crumble

There are not many puddings as British as this one, using English-grown strawberries alongside the classic crumble top! This recipe is extra special as it adds ground and flaked almonds for extra crunch and a moreish taste!

Ingredients: strawberries, caster sugar, ground almonds, vanilla extract, plain flour, baking powder, butter, flaked almonds, demerara sugar and double cream.
